Venues With Something Different

So you have started planning your wedding and you aren't quite sure where to have your ceremony and reception. Well, let's take a look at some venues that have something a bit different for your big day.

@woodlands_of_marburg

Not only does The Woodlands have multiple ceremony spaces including a sandstone cellar, original chapel plus a grotto and various garden settings including one with a gorgeous Fig Tree, it is also one of the oldest pioneer homes in the area, established in 1889-91. Being of that heritage it also has ghosts, yep it is haunted and there are tours!

The Woodlands is fabulous value for couples looking for packages that include ceremony location plus hire equipment, reception, and even a couple suite for your wedding night. Plus they offer discounted guest accommodation, and parking is on site.

Tucked into a lush valley with a creek running through it is the Historic River Mill which has reopened recently for weddings and events. For a venue with history, Australiana feels and family elements this place is hard to beat. With various ceremony venues including a quaint rural chapel, riverside and nature settings the Historic River Mill also have Wedding Horse Show by the resident Gaited Peruvian Paso Horses or Alpaca and Deer for your unique wedding portrait shots.

In addition to this the place is teaming with historical touches and if your party includes children there is a petting zoo on site.

@beenleighrumdistillers

For something between Brisbane and the Gold Coast that oozes rural style and rustic elegance consider a distillery like Beenleigh Rum Distillers. Numerous ceremony spaces to choose from and amazing backdrops for photography include architecture, barrel rooms and garden spaces. With over 130 years of history this venue has stories to be told, and amazing spaces for memories to be created.

If parks with a unique backdrop are more your style be sure to check out The Cleveland Lighthouse Cleveland Point Lighthouse | Lighthouses of Australia Inc. One of few wooden lighthouses left in Australia, this gorgeous piece of Queensland history sites at the end of Cleveland Point, surrounded by park and flanked by a lovely casual restaurant. Amazing location for photos, but be warned it can get windy!

These are just some of the vendors I am getting to know in the wedding scene locally. If you would like more ideas or recommendations please get in touch. I am always happy to help.

Note: This blog is not affiliated or sponsored. This is one wedding vendor sharing the love with other wedding vendors to help loved up couples find where they want to say their 'I do's'.
