Doing It Differently - Florals

Weddings don't have to be burdened by expectations of others. It is over used, but it is your day and you can do it your way. After a recent wedding expo, where I was exhibiting some of the décor items I offer in my other business (Glamour Red Carpet Hire) I thought it was time to put the spotlight on how much freedom there is in doing your wedding day differently. When you filter out all the industry BS about 'must have', 'on-trend' and family politics there is a plethora of ways to make your day just what you want it to be.

My couples tend to be relaxed, laid back people looking to express their commitment and love for each other without the pomp and circumstance that goes with traditional weddings. As such I wanted to give some love to vendors and suppliers I have come across both in-person and online that are bringing something vibrantly different to the wedding space, starting with Flowers and Floral Arrangements. How do you do flowers differently? Choose dried!

Dried Florals: not only are dried flowers a great alternative to fresh flowers, with the right supplier and arrangement your wedding flowers can be a lasting memento from your day. There are many florists offering dried bouquets and arbour arrangements. These are four that I think are bringing something a little more to the table.

Pretty Dead Flowers Gold Coast - if you are after vibrant and modern check out their work. Based in Southport, shipping around Australia as well as overseas. They offer DIY kits as well as online training for those interested in doing it themselves. https://prettydeadflowers.co/

Bewitching Blooms Gold Coast - based in Benowa and delivering locally their arrangements include bouquets and cake toppers as well as vase arrangements. Included on the site are handy instructions on after care too. https://www.bewitchingblooms.com.au/

Dead Posh by Fee - a specialist in dried bouquets, wreaths and backdrops, Fee has a background in fine art, textiles and fashion. Her work is inspired by colour and nature. If your vibe is rustic, whimsical and feminine check out her online store which offers delivery around the GC as well as Australia. https://www.deadposh.com.au/

Nativa Floral - if you are after native arrangements Nathalie's work is a must see - described as 'floral poetry'! Delivering daily around Southern GC and Northern NSW and Awarded #1 Quality Business Awards - Best Florist Tweed https://www.nativafloral.com/

FYI I have no affiliation with any of these businesses.

Each vendor has been notified that I am including a link to their website on my blog. No $, product or kick back has been requested or received. I am doing this to support other wedding vendors and suppliers - we are a community!
